Study abroad agent jobs in Chandigarh.

Job advertisements use many names for this role. We call it study abroad agent. Here is where the openings are, what employers look at, and ten questions they ask at interview. You will not find pay figures here, and the reason is below.

Where the jobs are.

Across the Tricity and Punjab the advertisements ask for nearly the same three things. They want any graduate, clear Hindi or Punjabi with working English, and 0 to 2 years of experience. None of them asked for a certificate. Some add "target-driven", "CRM" and "follow-up", which tells you the employer is looking at discipline too.

Tricity, Jalandhar, Ludhiana

This is where the consultancies are. When we read the portals in October 2026, we found only a handful of truly local openings in Mohali or Jalandhar in any one week.

The school's two offices are at 505, Sector 82, Mohali and BMC Chowk, Jalandhar.

Did you know

"Experience: 0" becomes four logged weeks.

You spend weeks 13 to 16 on Angels Immigration's live office floor. That month turns "experience: 0" into "supervised practice: 4 weeks, logged". Read about the office floor.

The guide About 4 min

Ten questions a consultancy asks.

We wrote these from our own interview rubric and from Angels' experience of hiring. Every employer is different, but the shape stays the same.

  1. A student has 62% in class 12, IELTS 6.0 and a limited budget. What is your first question?
  2. A parent asks "the visa will come, won't it?". What do you say?
  3. A student says "any country, just send me". Where do you start?
  4. A parent has met three agents and is comparing fees. What do you do?
  5. A student is afraid after a previous refusal. What do you explain, and what do you never say?
  6. A lead has gone silent after two follow-ups. What does the third message look like?
  7. There is a four-year study gap. How do you look at it in the file?
  8. A caller only wants prices on the phone. How do you get to an appointment?
  9. Which question would you hand over to a senior or a licensed professional?
  10. What do you write in the CRM note after a meeting?

None of these is about a country's rules, because those keep changing. They are all about asking first, being honest and giving a next step. Those are the six criteria of our role-play rubric.

Read more: How to stand apart from other freshers
  • Delhi NCR. On every portal it is roughly ten times the size of the Tricity. It is a second market if you can move, or if you can wait for the live online batch.
  • Beyond the portals. National listings show over a thousand results, and most of them are padding. Punjab's district licence lists are public, and that includes Mohali and Jalandhar. We are building a direct employer list from them.

How to stand apart from other freshers

  • Communication. An employer listens to you for two minutes. They want clear Hindi or Punjabi, working English, and an answer to the question they asked. We select on the same thing.
  • Process knowledge. You should know study levels, intakes, English tests, eligibility, how funding works, the document checklist and why refusals happen. Interviews ask about these directly.
  • Logged practice evidence. This is what a fresher does not have. You will have scores from recorded role-plays, notes on 20 meetings with seniors, and the logs of your live-floor weeks. The logs hold counts only, and client data stays in the office.
Graduate profiles after 30 April 2027, on the Graduates pageFrom May 2027 employers can see the profiles of Batch 1 graduates, with the grade and a summary of practice evidence and without contact details. Batch 1 outcome numbers follow in June 2027.

The rules

Four things we say plainly.

  • No pay figuresPay depends on the employer, the city, the role and how well you do the work, and any number reads like a promise. You can see what each career step needs in the career ladder guide.
  • The certificateSchool of Immigration is a private training school. The certificate is the school's own Certificate of Completion. It is not a diploma, a degree, a travel agent licence or a licence to give immigration advice. It is not a government-recognised qualification in any country either.
  • Training, not a visa serviceThis school is not a visa service for the people who study here. We do not offer any visa, admission or "go abroad" service. We only train you to become a study abroad agent.
  • No phone callsWe do not make or take phone calls. Once your application is complete, you can ask your questions on WhatsApp at +91 85910 18586.

Apply

Prepare for the interview on a real office floor.

Batch 1 starts in Mohali on Monday 4 January 2027. Angels interviews every graduate and selects some of them. The others get placement assistance. There is no guarantee. Applications are open now and close on 24 December 2026.

Everything about the course is on the Programme page.

OutcomesThe school is a training institute and does not guarantee a job. Angels Immigration picks some graduates from each batch to work with it, and the rest get help with placement. How it goes depends on the person. After each batch we publish its numbers here. You will see how many enrolled, how many finished, how many Angels hired and how many were still employed at 6 months. What a past batch did is no guarantee of what the next one will do.
